Trained at Relate and London Marriage Guidance Clare has worked for the NHS, London Marriage Guidance and as a Licensed Relate Counsellor for 8 years. Working psychodynamically with couples and individuals for 28 years, she is a Registered Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Every year she re registers and does 30 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) in order to remain an accredited member.
Clare has worked in various NHS centres whilst running a private practice in Kensington and Chelsea, West London.
In recent years, due to people travelling for their work and spending long periods living outside their country of origin, Clare has noticed a need for Skype sessions and telephone work. She now undertakes this new way of working from her practice.
Working with loss, trauma, ageing, addictions, depression, cross cultural issues and difficulty in communication, Clare finds different ways of managing patterns of negative behaviour.
Along with five other founder members of Coupleworks, Clare writes a column in Private Practice Magazine. The core of this column is to highlight the difference between working with couples and working with one to one. She is pleased to give journalists input for appropriate articles relating to couples and individuals. There is a weekly blog on the Coupleworks website which Clare contributes to once every six weeks.
