Clare has worked in various NHS centres whilst running a private practice in Kensington and Chelsea, West London.
In recent years, due to people travelling for their work and spending long periods living outside their country of origin, Clare has noticed a need for Skype sessions and telephone work. She now undertakes this new way of working from her practice during the week and some weekend times.
Working with loss, trauma, addictions, depression, cross cultural issues and difficulty in communication. Due to increased longlevity generally, Clare is working with long term couples who present a different form of coupling in later life, particularly during and after retirement.
Along with five other founder members of Coupleworks, Clare wrote a column in Private Practice Magazine. The core of this column was to highlight the difference between working with couples and working with one to one. She also contributes to book reviews and client dilemmas in Therapy Today. She is pleased to give journalists input for appropriate articles relating to couples and individuals. There is a weekly blog on the Coupleworks website which Clare contributes to once every six weeks.
