Kathy Rees has a post-graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Marital and Couple Counselling after training as a relationship counsellor and psychosexual therapist with London Marriage Guidance (now the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships). She was also a Relate licensed counsellor for ten years.
She is a registered member of BACP and works in private practice in Hackney and King’s Cross.
Many of her clients are couples and individuals who are striving to cope with stuck negative patterns of interaction, and are seeking support in making change. They wish to explore the dynamics of their relationships and uncover the underlying causes of the difficulties.
Kathy, too, works with individuals who are struggling with the difficulties of maintaining a relationship, or are alone through bereavement, separation or divorce.
She also sees couples for pre-marital counselling in preparation for sharing life together.
Counselling offers the time and space for reflection and understanding and Kathy works collaboratively with her clients to facilitate change and make sense of the issues and conflicts.
